in a mere 3 days, we'll be taking off with naters again on overnight trip #3. i think i'm more nervous this time around since he is more active now and more bothered by new situations. ken really wanted to go to germany to see the christmas markets and this would be our last chance before having to pay full fare for our wee one, so we decided to take the plunge and do another long plane ride with nate. of course, this one is still way shorter than the ride to HK, but still 8-9 hours overnight on the way there. hopefully nate will be able to get some sleep on the plane or else we're in for a doozy of a night...as are the folks sitting around us. the flight still seems relatively not full so we're hoping that we'll get three seats to ourselves. nate should be small enough that he'd still fit lying down across the seat, but then we realized the other day that one of us will have to stay up the entire time to ensure that he doesn't roll OFF the seat. sigh. i think daddy should take one for the team since this trip was his big idea. ;o)
by the time we return from our trip, we'll be celebrating yet again since our boy will be turning ONE! a fun-filled month lies ahead!

You know, I'm surprised when we were talking last Sunday, that Ken didn't also point out that *he'd* make it out to three continents this year before I did.
