our lil olympian

like much of the country, we've been enjoying watching the olympics for the past week. nathan is usually asleep during the events, but last monday, he and daddy watched the replay of alexandre bilodeau's gold medal winning run and applauded with delight.  then the following day, they had an olympics party at his daycare and all the kids made olympic torches. i tried to get nathan to hold his so i could get a pic, but he flat out refused and kept pushing it away. oh well.

also on the daycare front, nathan received his first report card of sorts. a wee watch worker went to visit the house and wrote up a report about the things that nathan is learning and doing. it was actually quite funny to read. under "gross motor skills" it says that he is "working on the concept of colouring without eating the crayon". haha so he has some what improved on the crying-at-daycare-front. he used to cry when she would put him down for a nap, but apparently that has stopped. i'd like to know what her secret is because he still cries when either ken or i try to put him down for sleep. maybe he's taking advantage of the fact that we've always picked him up in the past. naters still cries when i pick him up and he cried the other morning when ken dropped him off. i'm hoping that it doesn't get bad again when monday rolls around and he's had 3 days of being at home with me.

Lil' Naters would be the Gold Olympian for the Lil' Men's Furniture Cruising event. :)

Quatchi .. my fav! They are actually starting to have 50% off on some of the infant merchandise. Don't know why I neglected to mention that last night when we talked.

ttyl .. nobody in active labour at the moment but I just induced someone so I expect things to pick up later.

haha yes, he would!

i guess all the sales are coming now that the olympics are almost over. 50% off sounds like a good deal. i'd like to get a red canada hoodie for him, but i think those would be all gone. btw, fingers crossed that you get a canada-russia game on wed night!

so did you end up delivering a lot of babies yesterday?
