becoming a toddler

it has begun! my lil boy is slowly going from babyhood to toddlerdom. he went for his first haircut on friday and i must say...i really miss his baby hair. :o( he doesn't look like a baby anymore! and i'm sure everyone will say that he looks even more like ken now. so even though i didn't really want to go there, naters and i ended up at melonhead. figured it might be the best place to go given that they have all these toy cars they can sit in and have a bunch of TVs playing treehouse in the background. had no idea how he was going to react to having to sit still, so thought a bunch of TVs sounded like the best plan. maybe it was the TV, maybe it was the nemo car, or maybe he was just in a good mood, but he did so well! sat still, didn't cry ... all 'round great behaviour. the only time he started to fuss a little was when she brought out the trimmer and it was loudly buzzing by his ear. so, i didn't know what hairstyle to ask for and figured hairstylist knows best, right? well the haircut he ended up with (and that i paid almost $20 for) is something we could've done at home for free! sigh. oh well. next time i'm taking him to the korean place i go to (only $10!). or we keep with this hairstyle and do it ourselves. here's nathan's new look:
