originally i thought that amelia was a better baby than her brother. my opinion has now been changed. nathan was a great sleeper! this one...not so much. daytime naps are brutal. she basically sleeps about 30 mins at a time, which is nowhere near enough. not sure if it's coordinating with a developmental milestone and that this phase will pass. i'm praying that it will. night time is okay, but that's mainly because she is still sleeping with us. when we have the energy (when will that be exactly?), we'll attempt to transition her to sleeping in her crib at night. right now this arrangement is working for us, so we're not messing with it for the time being.
so somewhere after she turned 6 months old, she got her first tooth followed by her second tooth a couple weeks later. she also started sitting on her own during that time, but was still wobbly. now that she's seven months old, she sits very well unassisted and has started commando crawling. she still moves backwards more often than forwards, but she can motor if motivated.
we went to her 6th month check-up a month late, so at 7 months old, she weighed in just over 17 lbs. she used to be at the 75th percentile for both height and weight and she's dropped off both a bit, but nothing too concerning. she's still all sorts of chubby goodness and we love getting our daily squishes in. :o)
when i went to get the photos up this evening, i was looking back on her previous month day photos and found myself getting a bit misty-eyed. can't believe how quickly she has grown! she went from a wee baby to looking so much older already. time is flying by way too quickly for my liking.
