we had our second ultrasound last thursday (@ 19 weeks). unfortunately, we got the same technician again and she was even worse this time. she even yelled at me. anyway, i'm convinced that it may be due to a communication problem. judging by her accent, maybe eastern europeans not so proficient in english are prone to using harsh tones? in that way, maybe they're a bit like native chinese speakers. :o) the technician tried to get a better pic for us of the baby's profile, but he/she just refused to look the other way. guess he/she is like daddy that way. always smiling and ready for the camera. we saw our OB right after the ultrasound appointment, heard the heartbeat again, and everything seemed to be fine. our first round of tests came back normal so we are thankful for that. everyone keeps asking if i've felt any movements from the baby yet, but i don't think so. hopefully they'll become more obvious in the next couple of weeks.

Oh cutie! You can see his/her hand waving at us too! Glad you're having such a healthy pregnancy and thank you for keeping us posted.
I agree that eastern Europeans talk like that and they don't intend to sound harsh or abrasive. I've worked with a few nurses who initially seem mean but they are really sweet once you interact with them more. :)
