baby mo 2.0

for those who don't already know, we are expecting our second child this october. 

we had our second ultrasound this past week and everything checked out well. this time was the anatomy scan of bébé and everything appears to be normal.

baby's got 2 arms, 2 hands, 2 legs, 2 feet, kidneys left and right, heart with all its proper chambers, normal brain, normal spine ... everything checked off as normal. we like normal.  :o)  it was just funny hearing them listing off all the parts that way. we did not find out whether baby is a boy or girl because ken is adamant on it being a surprise (like it was with nathan). i am super curious though, but can live with the suspense for another 20 weeks, i suppose. it was fun seeing the baby move around in the ultrasound. his/her legs looked quite long to me. maybe that means this one will be tall?! ;o)

we keep telling nathan that there's a baby in mommy's tummy, but we're not sure if he's really getting it. he does kiss my tummy when we tell him to give the baby a kiss though. it remains to be seen how he'll actually react when the baby makes his/her arrival. hopefully he'll adjust well and be a loving big brother. he seems quite nurturing when it comes to baby dolls (that he plays with at sunday school and at other people's houses), so maybe that means he'll be gentle with the baby. well, we can at least hope.
