nathan got this book from auntie v last month when she was in town. funnily enough, it wasn't even meant for nathan, but when we put it in the costco cart with him, he just wouldn't let it go. you'd think a lil boy would prefer diego, but nope...this boy likes dora and kai-lan. so the other day we were at lunch with my mom and nathan was reading this book. he closes it and looks at the pictures on the cover. he starts pointing to each character and saying their name: "dora, kai-lan ... cracker". i totally cracked up. nate has no clue who sponge bob is, but he came to the conclusion in his preschooler mind that this yellow square thing most closely resembles a cracker. maybe in his world a cracker has a face and wears clothes?

Love it! What a cutie. This is such a great age, isn't it? :o) And since Kian also loves Dora now more than Diego, maybe it's the natural order of things...
actually, it seems like the boys tend to like dora and the girls tend to favour diego. guess an interest in the opposite sex starts at a young age. haha
