it's been almost a month since amelia entered our lives. thought it would be easier by this point juggling the two, but it's still a challenge. trying not to think about what it will be like once i'm flying solo with two kiddos and just taking it one day at a time right now. the most challenging part right now is the lack of sleep.
A seems to like sleeping during the day rather than at night, which causes us to lose sleep. i had forgotten what it's like to only get 2 hours of sleep (maximum) at a time. sleep deprivation is the worst! i'll have to force myself to go to bed earlier once i'm on my own with the kids because there is no way i'd be able to handle super active
N starting from 8:00 a.m. if i've only gotten 2-3 hours of sleep at that point. i honestly don't know how parents of more than 2 do it. kudos to you parents of 3+ out there!
alright, so it's not all terrible.
N is definitely warming up to his lil sis more and more each day. whenever he sees her, he shouts out "mui mui" (which means
little sister in chinese) and then follows it up with "kiss! kiss! kiss!". he will basically shout out "kiss!" until we say "go ahead" and then he'll run up and kiss her on the top of her head. he won't actually touch her until we give him the go ahead. don't know if this will change later on. ;o) here's a pic of some big brotherly affection:
