brotherly love

we are still going through the growing pains of a young family, but lately it does seem like N is liking his little sis more and more. he still wants to give her hugs and kisses all the time and whenever she is down on her play mat, he always gets right down there with her. today we went for lunch with grandma and great grandma and when we were leaving, he was holding my hand as we walked towards the exit. he quickly looked around and said "mui mui?!" (little sister) cuz he didn't see her with us. it's good to know that he doesn't just want to leave her behind.  ;o)  it seems like older brothers and little sisters aren't as close as say two brothers or two sisters...or even an older sister and younger brother combo, but i hope that N and A will be close as they grow up and into adulthood.

lately we've been working on strengthening A's neck muscles. the last few days we've been doing some quality tummy time and she's getting much better. at least she can hold out longer before she starts crying and wanting a break. she has also started to make moves like she wants to flip over. we put her on the play mat yesterday and she ended up turning herself 90 degrees. she's definitely a squirmy one, but i should've known that would be the case since she was always moving all around in utero. here's a pic of her doing tummy time earlier today.

oh yeah...and happy chinese new year! was hoping to take a pic of the kids today for the occasion, but didn't get around to it. oops!
