well, here i am at 25 weeks. i've been starting the weight gain, probably due to my increased appetite. well, my appetite is probably similar to what it was pre-pregnancy, but definitely up from the earlier months. we've been trying to eat out less since we moved into the new house, but that hasn't worked out very well so far. baby's been moving around a lot more recently, which has been a neat experience. it's getting strong enough to the point where ken can feel them too. i think he gets disappointed when i feel a pretty good one and he puts his hand on my belly and nothing happens (haha). so far based on how i'm carrying, most people think that this one's a girl. i think the percentage tally is at 80/20 right now. sometimes i wish i knew, but i guess that will make delivery day all the more sweet with the surprise.
oh a happy side effect of pregnancy is getting a seat on the subway! so far 4 times out of 5, i've gotten a seat straight away. i've worked out the key...you've got to make eye contact with someone and then stand in front of them. so far each time i've done this, it has worked. the only time i didn't get a seat was when i failed to make eye contact and then ended up standing in front of two women: one of which was sleeping and the other was reading. when they're "sleeping" or "reading" it's much easier for them to pretend that they haven't seen you and not have to give up their seat. :oP
