one impatient boy

so it would seem that our big news has already been circulated via the internet, but we thought it was time to write a little something from ourselves. so it would seem that our son loves christmas as much as his mommy and daddy and just couldn't wait a whole other year to have his first one. due to pregnancy-induced high blood pressure, nathan elliot mo had to make his arrival exactly five weeks early. it was 22 hours of labour, but wasn't too bad with the aid of the epidural. i had been hoping to try it without pain medication, but that choice (along with pretty much everything else) was taken away from me due to my high blood pressure. i will likely get discharged from the hospital tomorrow morning, but the three of us will probably stay in the hospital for an extra couple days in the care for by parent rooms that they have in the neonatal intensive care unit where nathan is currently staying and will probably be there until the end of the week at least. he's a bit jaundiced right now so he's been baking under a lamp for the day. he's doing pretty well and we look forward to when we can take him home. though i must admit...it sure is nice having the nurses around to help you with everything. can i get a nurse for home? :o) we'll post some pics up soon!
