baby bump update

so at my appointment last week, i had another ultrasound to check on the baby's positioning. apparently the lil bugger is still in breech. so now i have to get yet another ultrasound next week to check on growth and positioning (again). if the baby is still in breech at that point, i think there will be some decisions that have to be made. either i can schedule a c-section for later in the pregnancy or i can get the doctor to try an external cephalic version (ECV) in which he would manually attempt to turn the baby with the aid of ultrasound. the problem with ECV is that sometimes the baby just turns right back around. i'm thinking that if the baby is still in breech position next week and i have to decide right then and there, i'll just schedule the c-section and see what happens from there. even with a planned c-section, the doctor will still do an ultrasound right before the procedure to see if the baby has moved on its own. if it has, then the procedure will be cancelled. i'm hopeful that baby will turn, but even if it doesn't, i'm trying to let go of my anxiety of having surgery and just allow God to be in control of the situation no matter what it turns out to be.

for now, i started seeing a chiropractor. i've heard from various people that chiropractors using the webster method have been successful in helping turn breech babies. i believe the research i read states that they have up to 97% success rate. obviously if i had been going to see a chiropractor all along, the chances would be better that baby wouldn't have been breech in the first place, but i figure it can't hurt to give it a shot now. i went yesterday for an assessment and adjustment and apparently my left side (sacrum?) is all jammed up, which might be causing the uterus to be in a funny position not really allowing baby to go head down. anyway, i'll be going two times a week until i deliver. hopefully it will help, but even if it doesn't, maybe it'll make me feel better physically since the last couple of weeks have been kind of rough. i feel like an old lady!

also funny to note that when i was pregnant with nathan, i was induced around this time. i'm definitely not ready for the baby to be born in the next few days, but i don't see that happening this time around. my blood pressure has actually been on the low side.  :o)
