quick update just to say that our prayers have been answered. BABY HAS MOVED OUT OF BREECH!!! had an ultrasound this afternoon and the tech told me that baby's head is now down and facing my back/left side. don't know if going to the chiropractor helped or if it was spending time on all fours or if baby would have moved on his/her own anyway, but it really doesn't matter. i'm just so relieved that (for now) it looks like i won't have to have a c-section. not to say that all my anxieties are now gone since there's the general anxiety of giving birth. it all seems new to me even though it's the second time around since i really have no frame of reference for what it's like to go into labour. i'm now past the point when i had nathan. nathan came at 35 weeks exactly and now i'm a couple of days past that. i'm the most pregnant i've ever been!
also, baby's growth is continuing well. they estimate his/her current weight to be just over 5 lbs. apparently that puts it at 70th percentile in terms of weight. already a much bigger kiddo than nathan (@ only 10th percentile). the weight can be off give or take a pound, but at least we know that baby is doing well and seems healthy.
so now i'm at the point where i'll be going to see the doctor every week. looks like the end is in sight! don't know what life will be like with two kiddos to look after, but i hope that nathan adjusts well. it will be good to have ken at home for the first six weeks so that nathan can get some good one-on-one attention. at first i was thinking that we'd have to forego his birthday party this year since we'd have a newborn, but i think i'd feel guilty about not doing a party for him especially since we'd have the new baby. even though he wouldn't remember or notice if we didn't have one, i think i'd feel badly. it'll probably end up at some kids' venue, so minimal work will be required. :o)
