going green

we've officially gone green! for the last month (since we've been back from HK), we've been on cloth diapers. so far so good. they don't seem that much more inconvenient than disposable...and not much grosser either. the only difference is that every 2 to 3 days, i do a load of diapers in the wash. and they're super cute. much cuter than those disposables, and they'll work out to be a whole lot cheaper too. best of both worlds. they look good AND will save us money. we've got him in fuzzi bunz during the day and bamboozles (made from bamboo) at night. he seems to like them (see photo).

he's now also on solids twice a day. organic barley cereal for breakfast and dinner, plus a helping of organic carrots at dinner time. i thought i'd try my hand at making my own baby food. the first attempt wasn't too difficult. just cooked the carrots and then went at them with a hand blender. he seems to like them. downside of solids is the baby poo that now also resembles said solids. yum.
