today we celebrated ken's first father's day as a daddy. nate and i had hoped to make breakfast in bed for daddy, but i was helping out at church this morning and nate isn't at the point where he can cook by himself, so i guess it will have to wait for another weekend. after church, we went out for lunch at panera bread. we happened upon it on the way to pick up the father's day cake i had ordered. we first had panera when we roadtripped down to pittsburgh. it was a nice surprise to find one nearby. their sandwiches and salads are quite yumsters. anyway, we ended up taking my dad out for dinner at restoran malaysia (a family fave) and then back to our house afterwards for ice cream cake from marble slab creamery. since both dads are big faves of blueberry, nate and i ordered them the "blue cheese" cake which is blueberry cheesecake ice cream. a hit all 'round!

yummm... is the Marble Slab creamery similar to Coldstone Creamery in the states? I've never been to either, but I noticed a Marble Slab creamery in Brampton the other day.
