it's been nine months since nathan entered our lives. how has the time gone so quickly? in just a few months i'll have to return to work. we haven't firm up daycare plans yet, but i'm assuming that will happen in the next month or two. right now i can't bear to think of someone else taking care of him and only getting to spend time with him for an hour or so on the weekdays. but i guess it had to happen some time.we'll be going to the doctor next week for his 9-month checkup. i'm interested to see how much he actually weighs. i'm not sure my methods of measuring him and weighing him are that accurate. at least there won't be any needles this time. that's a relief!

oh and an update on the teeth entry from a couple weeks ago...just days later we noticed tooth #7 starting to emerge from the bottom left and earlier this week we saw tooth #8 (bottom right) burst forth.
yesterday we went to visit another new friend. my former uni housemate and her hubby welcomed their baby girl claire just 6 weeks ago. she is quite long already. i'm sure she'll be tall just like her parents. it was funny seeing nathan next to claire and remembering that he was once that small...before his chubbs came in. :o) gordon got a great pic of the two babies...will share once we get it from them.

ooh yes, i guess i forgot to mention his new found skills. he crawls but military-style. i think they call that creeping or something. basically he just uses upper body and the lower half wiggles behind. like a worm. they should call it the worm! and he can also stand while holding on to something.
