our lil biter

hangin' with new pal claire again last weekend

seems that lowering the crib to the lowest setting didn't help matters much. it curbed his standing for maybe a day. then he figured out how to do it despite the rail being higher. so now he's waking up a couple times a night and generally came be found kneeling while holding onto the crib bars, if not standing entirely. the baby books i've been reading say that often the baby will wake up more during this developmental stage because he is trying out all his new tricks. stop with the new tricks already and get some sleep! :oP

another new "trick" — if you can call it that — is his biting. so he has bitten people's fingers a few times. what he's been doing now (though so far only to me and his mahmah) is biting shoulders! and it's painful! basically when you hold him upright facing you, he might put his head down a bit and sink his eight teeth into your shoulder. ouch! or if you're sitting down on his playmat with him, he might wander over to you and sink his teeth into your leg. yeouch! maybe his teeth/gums are bothering him? or maybe he's a vampire. hahah you know, vampires are very "in" right now.

biting aside, we've been quite busy these days with various activities. the valleys are back in town for a couple of weeks so we made our way over to oakville last weekend to introduce nathan to them. we saw claire again and she's already noticeably bigger than the last time we saw her. babies grow so fast!

housemate reunion (minus one!)

another busy weekend ahead of us. we were holding off on buying a new car seat for naters (he's outgrown the infant one) and it paid off. britax car seat sale this weekend! plus meeting up with a friend we haven't seen in years who is now preggers. plus, we are dedicating nathan at our church on sunday morning. hopefully he doesn't squirm around too much when the pastor is holding him. we are so happy that all four of nathan's grandparents will be there to witness this special event in our son's life. for those not able to attend, pics and vids to come!
