happy thanksgiving!

happy thanksgiving, everyone! hope all you canadians are having a great long weekend. this marks nathan's first thanksgiving and we celebrated by hosting turkey dinner at our house. this also marked the first time that i made a turkey on my own...with ken acting as sous chef. i drove down to midtown on saturday specifically to pick up this naturally raised turkey so that nathan could partake as well. unfortunately, the bird took too long to cook and nathan fell asleep before it was fully done. no matter, as we had plenty left over, which i'll use to make his baby food. all in all, it was a good day.

nathan also had his first campfire experience this weekend at the B.A.T. (bridge arts team) party on saturday. it was the epitome of eating local as the corn we ate had just been harvested off the fields (of the farm we were at). some of the best corn we've had! nathan couldn't get enough of it either.
