went for nathan's 12 month check-up today. discovered that he hasn't gained any weight (or might even have lost some) since his 9 month check-up. doctor didn't seem too concerned since i had mentioned that n had been sick a couple of times in that 3 month period. so his weight has dropped a curve or so, but his height and head circumference is still trending along the same percentile as before.
weight: approximately 19.5 to 20 lbs.
height: 78 cm / 30.7"
got his 12 month immunizations and again, the tears were flowing. his of course, though i felt sad being the one allowing the nurse to jab him with the needles. it's almost as if he shoots me a look of betrayal through his tears. maybe i'm just imagining it. anyway, i didn't end up giving him a pre-immunization dose of tylenol this time, but it seems like he didn't need it since he didn't get a fever. i think this was the first time that the shots didn't give him any kind of fever. he also stopped crying soon after and didn't even have any swelling on his thighs this time around. we held off on getting the second dosage of the h1n1 vaccine until another time since n developed a bit of a cough coming back from germany. we'll still have to go back for that one.
no check-ups again until 15 months. 'til then, we'll be stuffing n with food so that he puts on some weight. who knew he wasn't gaining anything? the chubby cheeks are deceptive!
