it's been a busy week for the three of us. started off in munich, trained immediately to nuremberg, day tripped to bamberg, trained back to munich, and then finished off our last day here with another day trip...this time to regensburg. it has been quite the adventure travelling with our little guy. for the most part, he's been a great lil traveller. he sleeps well in his stroller...easily napping for 2 hours at a time. we think it's the vibrations of all the cobblestoned streets that are lulling him to sleep longer. night time sleep has been pretty brutal (we think he may not have ever gotten over the jet lag), so we're hoping that means he'll transition well back at home. the restaurants here are quite baby-friendly and we even made it out to munich's famous hofbräuhaus. the table system here is different though. no hostess; you just have to walk around and find your own table. so we had to walk around a few times to find a spot at a table and ended up sharing with two german men from stuttgart. one of them took to nathan straight away and insisted on holding him for us so that we could eat our meal. even though his english wasn't so good and our german left much to be desired, we were still able to sort of converse. see below for nate's pic with "uncle uwe". ;o)
tomorrow morn we're headed back to toronto. who knows when or where our next trip will be, but hopefully it won't be too far away!
tschüs, münchen!
