busy weekend

we had quite the busy couple of days with lori and alvin's wedding yesterday. friday was the rehearsal + rehearsal dinner. i took nate with me to the church and i must say that he was very good. i just had him in the buggy playing with some toys. he started to fuss a bit so one of alvin's cousins pushed him back up the aisle and eventually took him out and held him. though he had never seen that lady before, he didn't cry. which was definitely good since i don't think i could've held him for very long while standing in high heels. the rehearsal dinner ended up going quite late and so our lil boy got quite cranky. all in all, he did well. waited until 10:00 p.m. to have his meltdown.

saturday was an interesting experiment. i was gone for pretty much the whole day, leaving at 9:30 a.m. to go get my hair and make-up done. ken took care of nathan all day by himself, feeding him and everything. i was interested to see how nathan would be without access to me/milk. though i had prepared milk ahead of time, i don't think ken ended up giving him any and instead just fed him solid food. at least now i know that i can be gone for at least half the day and my kid won't starve. again, he was very good at the reception. even ended up falling asleep despite the loud music blaring from the speakers. ken was able to party with me until past midnight before nathan woke up screaming. thanks to both ken and nathan for allowing me to properly help lori and alvin on their wedding day!
