so we leave for HK in 3 days. how did it come up so fast? i feel like i won't be ready in time, but i think that's the nerves talking. my biggest fear is that nate will scream his head off the whole time we're on the plane. realistically, i don't think that's going to happen. maybe a little bit, but definitely not 15 hours worth. oh gosh, i hope so! we bought some summer clothes for him (to prep for the sweltering HK weather), but as i was going through some hand-me-downs we got, i realized that he actually has a lot of short-sleeve + shorts clothing already. oh well. more days between laundering, i suppose.in other news, a new friend for nate! big congrats to kelvin and karen whose baby boy (joshua) was born yesterday morning. can't wait to meet him! now just waiting to see when baby douglas will be making his appearance. my guess is for next week, but i'm sure his mommy hopes that he'll come sooner. :o)
oh and the onesie from the photo above...it's really true. chicks do love him. haha particularly the older chicks...like grammas. my mom and i went for lunch at a chinese resto on friday. the older chinese patrons (guong-guongs and pau-paus) at the table next to us kept admiring his nice ears and well-shaped head. this is not the first time someone has complimented his ears. last time at dim sum with ken's grandmother, the hostess also remarked on what beautiful ears he has. the chinese are obsessed with ears and heads. what gives? apparently a nice head/forehead indicates that the baby's father will do very well in his career. who comes up with these things?
